MangaLens is a browser extension that translates manga text on the pages you visit. This policy explains what data we process and why.
1. Data we collect
- Account: email address and password (handled via Google Firebase Authentication; we never have access to your password in plain text).
- Usage data: number of translations performed, active plan and credits, to enforce free and premium plan limits.
- Translated images: the page images you choose to translate are sent to our processing services only to extract and translate the text. We do not build profiles on what you read.
- Payments: handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
2. How we use data
Solely to provide the service: to authenticate you, enforce usage limits, process translations and manage subscriptions. We do not sell your data to third parties.
3. Third-party services
- Google Firebase — authentication and account database.
- Google Cloud Vision — text recognition (OCR) in images.
- OpenAI — text translation (free plan and credits).
- Anthropic Claude — high-quality translation (subscribers).
- Stripe — payment processing.
Images sent to these services are used only for real-time processing.
4. Data retention
We keep account data while you maintain an account. Processed translations may be cached anonymously to improve performance and reduce costs.

You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us below.
